Wilbert Cummings, Jr. is Lead Pastor of Joshua House Ministries. His mission is to build a community of God fearing people that will influence, engage, and equip the individuals they come in contact with.
Pastor Cummings is a native of Los Angeles, California, whose passion for ministry is rooted in a genuine love for God and people. He is a graduate of Tennessee State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications, and later received a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Directing from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Licensed to preach the Gospel in 2005, Pastor Cummings is a dynamic and insightful preacher who is committed to communicating God's Word in a way that is both practical and relevant to everyday life. His preaching ministry focuses on helping people navigate life's challenges through biblical truth, faith, and spiritual growth.
In addition to his ministry work, Pastor Cummings is a member of Alpha Iota Nu Fraternity and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated. He is also the proud father of six daughters and three sons, a role he considers one of God's greatest blessings and responsibilities.
Known for his compassionate heart and authentic approach to ministry, Pastor Cummings seeks to live by a simple yet powerful motto: "Love people for who they are, not for what they do." Through preaching, teaching, and personal example, he strives to demonstrate Christ's love and encourage others to grow into all that God has called them to be.
Nakita Burns Cummings is Leading Lady of Joshua House Ministries. Her mission is to inspire, motivate, and encourage women and men to be better versions of themselves everyday.
Nakita B. is a Nashville native with a passion for encouraging people to grow in their faith, purpose, and relationship with God. A graduate of Tennessee State University, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Mater's in Management from the University of Phoenix.
Licensed to preach the Gospel, Nakita is a gifted speaker, teacher, and author of Getting on Track: A 30-Day Devotional and Journal, a devotional designed to inspire, empower, and encourage believers in their daily walk with Christ. Through her ministry, she is committed to sharing biblical truth in a way that is practical, uplifting, and transformative.
As a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Nakita values service, leadership, and community impact. She strives to live as a virtuous woman of faith and is passionate about helping others discover and fulfill the purpose God has placed within them.
Whether speaking, teaching, mentoring, or serving, Nakita's mission remains the same: to motivate, inspire, and encourage God's people to become all He has called them to be, until the earth is filled with the joy of the Lord.
